TWIN FALLS: Authorities have identified Chad Williams as the suspect in the deadly mass shooting at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, that left three people dead, including the gunman, and seven others injured.
The shooting occurred on Saturday, August 1, at the popular fast-food restaurant in southern Idaho. Police said Williams later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police say suspect acted alone
During a press conference on Sunday, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said investigators believe Williams carried out the attack without any accomplices.
“Based on the best information that we have at this time, we are confident that Williams acted alone,” Hicks said.
The police chief also praised two individuals who reportedly helped stop the suspect’s escape, saying their actions prevented further casualties.

Authorities have released limited information about Chad Williams, confirming only that he died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds after the attack.
Investigators have not disclosed a possible motive, and the case remains under active investigation.
Victims’ condition
Officials said seven people were injured in the shooting and were taken to a local medical centre for treatment.
According to authorities:
- Three injured victims are in stable condition.
- Two remain in critical condition.
