LONDON: Pakistan’s national shooting team produced an impressive performance at the F-Class British Open 2026, winning 13 medals, including seven golds, despite having one of the smallest contingents at the prestigious international competition.
The championship was held from August 3 to 8 at Bisley, United Kingdom, and featured around 185 shooters from 24 countries.
The competition brought together some of the world’s leading F-Class marksmen, creating a highly competitive field for Pakistan’s 12-member contingent.
Pakistan wins seven gold medals
Despite sending only 12 shooters, Pakistan secured a total of 13 medals — seven gold, two silver and four bronze.
The strong medal haul highlighted the consistency of the Pakistani shooters across individual and aggregate events and placed the team among the standout performers at the championship.
The achievement is particularly significant as the British Open served as an important competitive preparation event ahead of the 7th F-Class World Championship, also being held at Bisley from August 10 to 16.

Pakistan targets more success at World Championship
Following their successful British Open campaign, the Pakistani shooters have now turned their attention to the world championship, where they are competing against leading teams and marksmen from around the globe.
Officials associated with the team said the results demonstrated Pakistan’s growing strength in long-range competitive rifle shooting and the ability of its shooters to perform at the highest international level.
Led by Lt Gen Ahsan Gulrez, the Pakistan team will aim to maintain its winning momentum and add to its medal tally at the F-Class World Championship as competition intensifies in Bisley.
