Junaid Safdar’s Car Fined in Lahore; Maryam Nawaz Praises Traffic Warden

Traffic Rule Violation Leads to Fine; CM Punjab Applauds Warden for Upholding the Law Equally

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has set a strong example of rule of law by praising a traffic warden who fined her son Junaid Safdar’s car for violating traffic regulations. The incident took place near Johar Town and Lake City in Lahore, where a vehicle in Junaid Safdar’s convoy was fined for having tinted windows.

According to details, the Dolphin Force stopped a suspicious vehicle at around 8:30 PM due to its black-tinted windows. Upon investigation, it was found that the car was part of Junaid Safdar’s convoy, and the individual in the vehicle was identified as Muhammad Ali. Without yielding to any political pressure, Traffic Warden Muhammad Amjad issued a challan of PKR 500 in accordance with the law.

When CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz was informed of the incident, she not only appreciated the Dolphin Force but also commended the traffic warden. She stated that “the law is equal for everyone, even if it concerns my own son.” She further emphasized that the rule of law in Punjab must start from within the leadership and that this is the essence of true justice.

In a further positive development, Junaid Safdar himself praised the police officials for doing their duty, reinforcing the message that accountability begins at the top. Read full report here.

The incident sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many citizens praising the traffic warden’s integrity and lauding Maryam Nawaz for promoting accountability and fairness.

It is worth noting that while political figures’ family members have been fined before, public endorsement of such actions by a high-ranking official sets a rare and positive precedent—reinforcing both the independence of law enforcement and the principle of equality before the law.
