Governor Calls for Ending Dialogue with PTI

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has called for an end to political negotiations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He criticized the party’s jailed leadership for showing political arrogance, which, he said, harms national interests.

Speaking to the media after visiting Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, Tessori stressed that elements blocking Pakistan’s development should not be engaged in dialogue.

The time for negotiations with PTI has ended, he said. Those who obstruct progress and harm state interests must face accountability. Moreover, national development cannot wait for political egos.

He added that repeated dialogue attempts have failed because PTI leaders are unwilling to cooperate. Consequently, Tessori urged politicians to prioritize state interests over personal or party ambitions. He argued that this approach is essential for Pakistan’s stability and growth.

Tribute to Quaid-e-Azam and Call for Principle-Based Leadership

During his visit to Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s mausoleum on his birthday, Tessori praised the founder’s struggle for independence and his steadfast principles.

Quaid-e-Azam’s life shows sacrifice, discipline, and determination, he said.

Furthermore, he encouraged political leaders and youth to follow Jinnah’s example. Tessori added, If leaders and young people embrace these principles, Pakistan can solve longstanding challenges and progress confidently.

Pakistan 2025: A Milestone Year

Tessori described 2025 as a potentially historic year for Pakistan. He highlighted the country’s military achievements and growing international influence.

Pakistan has successfully shown resilience against stronger adversaries, boosting its global credibility, he said.

Additionally, he noted that the nation is ready to pursue economic success. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will serve as a key path to growth. Tessori said that agreements with friendly countries will strengthen the economy and promote regional stability.

International Recognition and Strategic Positioning

Tessori claimed that Pakistan’s global image has improved. He noted that international media now portray Pakistan as capable, while, in contrast, India is shown less favorably.

Moreover, he credited military leadership for enhancing Pakistan’s prestige. According to him, foreign dignitaries now accord unusual protocol to Pakistani officials.

He added that national confidence has returned, thanks to strong military strategy. Furthermore, Tessori emphasized that the second phase of CPEC will boost economic growth and strengthen regional partnerships.

Additionally, he mentioned Pakistan’s role in protecting the holy sites of Mecca and Medina. Therefore, he described the country as a responsible actor in global Islamic affairs.

Privatization and Development Initiatives

Tessori said that privatization, stalled for over two decades, is now moving forward transparently. He highlighted the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) as a potential game-changer for the economy.

Meanwhile, regarding development funds, Tessori revealed that the federal government allocated PKR 20 billion to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. He said they would actively ensure project completion.

Looking Ahead

Governor Tessori’s statements emphasize political unity and national progress. By urging leaders to prioritize state interests and hold obstructive elements accountable, he promotes principled governance.

Furthermore, his remarks reflect Pakistan’s ongoing effort to balance domestic reforms with global engagement. With 2025 framed as pivotal, upcoming steps in political reconciliation, privatization, and regional diplomacy will significantly shape the country’s future.
