Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced free entry for spectators for Wednesday’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 group match between Pakistan national cricket team and Namibia national cricket team at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground.
According to SLC, gates 5 and 7 will open at 1:00 pm local time, two hours before the match’s scheduled 3:00 pm start. The public is invited to witness the game free-of-charge, marking the final fixture at SSC for the ongoing T20 World Cup.
Historic Venue
The SSC Grounds have already made history in this tournament by hosting the inaugural match and the first-ever under-lights international game at the venue. Wednesday’s fixture will be the fifth and final World Cup match held at the stadium.
Weather and Match Implications
However, weather may play a role, as forecasts indicate a 60% chance of rain. The region is currently experiencing thunderstorms, with temperatures around 29°C (feels like 30°C) and northern winds blowing at 19 km/h, gusting up to 37 km/h.

The outcome of the match is particularly crucial for Pakistan. A win would secure their Super Eight qualification by placing them second in Group A with six points. In case of a rain-affected washout, Pakistan would still advance due to points being split, reaching five points—one more than the United States of America, currently second in the group standings.
This announcement offers fans a rare opportunity to watch an international T20 World Cup game in person at no cost, while adding excitement to a fixture with both sporting and qualification significance.
