Asia Cup 2025: India Likely to Play Without a Team Sponsor

After Dream11 withdrew from its contract with the BCCI last month, India is likely to play the upcoming Asia Cup without a lead sponsor.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited bids for central sponsorship of the national teams.

The deadline for interested companies to submit bids is September 16, while the Asia Cup is scheduled to begin on September 9 and conclude on September 28.

It is important to note that following the Indian government’s recent ban on real-currency gaming, the BCCI terminated its agreement with Dream11.

This time, the BCCI has imposed very strict conditions on potential new sponsors.

No gaming firms, cryptocurrency companies, alcohol, or tobacco-related businesses will be eligible to participate in the bidding process.
