Road Link Severed
Gilgit: A large portion of the Naltar Expressway has been washed away by floodwaters, cutting off ground connectivity and leaving several tourists stranded in the Naltar Valley.
Power Supply Disrupted
A spokesperson for the Gilgit-Baltistan government confirmed that following the destruction of the road, three hydropower stations in Naltar were shut down, resulting in suspension of electricity supply to the area.
Rising Water Threatens Homes
The spokesperson further stated that in Jaglot Goro, river water has entered low-lying residential areas, submerging multiple houses and causing widespread disruption.
