Addressing a public gathering in Peshawar, Jamaat-e-Islami’s chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman came down hard on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, stating that the province is “heading towards disaster.”
He criticized the government’s inability to provide basic services like quality education, employment opportunities, and modern technology infrastructure.
Hafiz Naeem highlighted that despite claims of progress, the ground realities tell a different story. He alleged that billions in funds have been wasted due to mismanagement and lack of planning. “There is no education reform, no IT development, and the public is burdened with inflation and lawlessness,” he said.
He also warned that if the current trend continues, the province will face even more socio-economic challenges in the coming years. The Jamaat-e-Islami leader called for immediate action, transparent governance, and sincere efforts to uplift the region before the situation worsens further.
