Hajj 2026 Applications Open August 4: Govt Scheme to Cost Rs 1.15–1.25 Million

Minister of Religious Affairs Unveils Hajj Policy, Announces Quotas and Package Details

Islamabad — The Government of Pakistan has officially announced the Hajj 2026 policy, with applications set to begin from August 4, 2025. This was confirmed by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, during a press briefing in Islamabad.

According to the Minister, Hajj 2026 Pakistan will once again be organized under two categories: Government Scheme and Private Operators. This approach ensures broader access to citizens while allowing flexibility in service providers.

This year, Pakistan has been granted a Hajj quota of 179,210 pilgrims by Saudi Arabia. Out of this, 119,210 slots will be allocated under the Government Hajj Scheme, and 60,000 seats will be managed by authorized private tour operators. Priority will also be given to over 60,000 applicants who missed Hajj in 2025, as per recent government announcements.

The estimated cost of the Government Hajj Scheme ranges between Rs. 1.15 million and Rs. 1.25 million, depending on the package. These Hajj 2026 packages will include both short and long-duration options to suit the needs of the pilgrims. The first installment for applicants will be payable in the first week of August.

Online Hajj Registration 2026 Pakistan

The Hajj registration 2026 Pakistan online process will begin on August 4. Applicants are encouraged to apply through designated banks or the official Ministry portal. So far, over 313,000 citizens across the country have already completed the initial registration process, indicating the high spiritual enthusiasm for the pilgrimage.

The Minister also emphasized that, under new policy guidelines, children under 12 years of age will not be allowed to perform Hajj this year, in accordance with Saudi regulations and logistical constraints.

Hajj 2026 Dates & Policy Highlights

While the exact Hajj 2026 dates will be confirmed by Saudi authorities closer to the event, preparations are underway to ensure smooth operations and better facilities for Pakistani pilgrims. Pilgrims can expect improved accommodation, food services, and transport arrangements under both schemes.

The government remains committed to making Hajj 2026 Pakistan more accessible, organized, and transparent. More details will be published on the Ministry’s official platforms in the coming weeks.
