According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, at least 10 members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed and several others injured in Israeli airstrikes on Iran on Sunday in the Yazd province.
These attacks are part of an escalating campaign that began on June 13, highlighting the expanding scope of Israeli airstrikes on Iran in recent weeks.
In a separate statement, the Israeli military claimed it had targeted at least six airbases located in western, eastern, and central regions of Iran. A post on one of the IDF’s Hebrew-language social media accounts stated that 15 Iranian aircraft and helicopters were destroyed in the strikes.
The statement further mentioned that Mehrabad, Mashhad, and Dezful airbases were among the key targets. The airstrikes reportedly destroyed runways, underground bunkers, refueling aircraft, and Iranian Air Force fighter jets including F-14s, F-5s, and AH-1 helicopters.
Israel has also previously targeted Iran’s Isfahan nuclear site. Read this detailed report covering that strike and its implications on Iran’s Quds Force leadership.
