Islamabad: Renowned anchorperson and senior journalist Jasmeen Manzoor has accused her ex-husband of domestic violence, sharing images of her injuries on social media. In a post on the platform X (formerly Twitter), Jasmeen shared a visibly swollen eye and wrote:
“This is me. My life was destroyed by a violent man. I leave my justice to God.”
In a follow-up post, she addressed those who supported the alleged abuser, stating:
“This is a gift from my ex-husband — for those who stood by a criminal.”
Her third message carried an emotional warning:
“This can happen to anyone. No matter how safe a home feels, the most dangerous people are the ones we trust blindly.”
As of now, Jasmeen has not released detailed information or a formal statement regarding any legal action, but her public revelation has sparked widespread reaction on social media. Supporters, activists, and human rights advocates have voiced solidarity with her, urging authorities to address the issue of domestic abuse more seriously.
Jasmeen Manzoor has long held a respected position in Pakistani journalism, and her public stance on this deeply personal and disturbing experience has reignited public discourse on the silent epidemic of domestic violence.
