Explosive Revelation by Israeli Defense Minister: Plot to Kill Khamenei Was Made but Never Executed
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has revealed that Israel had planned to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. However, the operation was never carried out due to a “lack of practical opportunity.”
In an interview with Israeli media, Gallant disclosed that Khamenei had become aware of the potential threat, prompting him to go into hiding and significantly tighten his personal security. He also reportedly reduced direct contact with commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The defense minister warned that if Iran reactivates its nuclear program, Israel is ready to strike. He further stated that Israel has received a “green light” from the United States for such an action. While he noted that Iran currently does not appear to have the capability to quickly restart its nuclear facilities, Israel remains firm in its strategic posture.
This revelation comes at a time when tensions between Iran and Israel remain high despite a recent ceasefire. The United States continues to openly support Israel and is closely monitoring Iran’s nuclear activities.
Gallant’s statements could potentially reignite instability in the region, and the world now awaits an official response from Iran.
