Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has said that the United States became involved in the Iran-Israel conflict out of fear that Iran would completely destroy Israel. Addressing the Iranian nation, Khamenei stated that the Islamic Republic’s strength and resilience have once again been proven to the world.
“The United States realized that if it did not intervene, Israel would face complete annihilation at the hands of Iran,” he said. “This fear pushed them to step into the battlefield, not to protect peace or stability, but to protect a regime that is already on the verge of collapse.”
In fact, the United States took direct military action by striking Iranian nuclear facilities in an attempt to curb Iran’s capabilities. Read more about the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites here.
Khamenei congratulated the Iranian people on what he called a historic victory over the Zionist regime. “This is not just a military or political triumph,” he said, “but a demonstration of the Iranian nation’s unwavering spirit and belief in justice. Iran is a great nation, and history now bears witness to the fact that it cannot be defeated.”
The Supreme Leader emphasized that Iran’s strength lies not just in its weapons, but in the unity and determination of its people. “We stood firm against tyranny, and today the world sees what true resistance looks like,” he added.
He also issued a stern warning to the United States and its allies: “If any aggression is imposed upon us again, we will respond with full force. Let there be no doubt — Iran will not remain silent in the face of injustice.”
Khamenei concluded by saying that Iran’s confrontation with the oppressive global system is far from over, but each battle brings the nation closer to its ultimate goals of independence, dignity, and justice.
