Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has strongly condemned honour killings, calling them “the greatest form of dishonour.”
The senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) stated that any society that remains silent in the face of such heinous crimes is itself devoid of honour.
In his statement, Khawaja Asif emphasized that such incidents must never be tolerated — a sentiment echoed by recent developments in Balochistan, where a tribal chief and 10 others were arrested in a chilling honour killing case.
He stressed that honour killings, like the recent Balochistan case involving tribal leadership, not only represent the unjust killing of an individual but also reflect the moral decay of the entire society.
He further added that the rule of law and swift justice are the only ways to put an end to this curse.
