The discovery was made after the landlord, facing non-payment of rent, approached the court. When the bailiff broke into the apartment, Humaira’s decomposed remains were found.
The initial post-mortem report indicated that the body was in the final stage of decomposition, suggesting she had died 8 to 10 months earlier. This revelation shocked many, as her absence had gone largely unnoticed.
