Heavy monsoon rains have triggered alarming rises in water levels across major rivers in Punjab and Sindh, including the Indus, Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej, and Jhelum. As a result, dozens of villages are now underwater, causing extensive damage to crops, homes, and infrastructure.
Authorities have issued flood alerts due to the risk of further flooding in rivers and streams. In several districts, the water flow has reached dangerous levels, prompting urgent evacuation efforts.

Water levels in the Ravi, Jhelum, Sutlej, and Chenab rivers continue to rise.

The Indus River is experiencing low-level flooding at Tarbela, Kalabagh, and Chashma.

At Guddu Barrage, water is approaching the danger mark.

A major flood wave has entered the Dera Ghazi Khan region.

In Jhang, over 10 villages have been submerged due to flooding in the Chenab River. Water has entered homes and fields, and connecting roads have been submerged.

In Hafizabad, erosion is increasing along the banks of the Chenab.

Taunsa Sharif is witnessing ongoing flood conditions from the Indus, resulting in the loss of agricultural land.

In Sehwan Sharif, the flood situation in the riverine (kacha) areas has persisted for over 10 days. Three union councils have lost road connectivity.

Bhakkar and Mianwali are also affected, with floodwaters damaging crops and inundating several areas.
In addition, the search operation continues at the Babusar accident site, where authorities have recovered the identity card and purse of a private TV anchor among the missing.
