Muzaffargarh: A shocking incident has surfaced where a married woman was allegedly raped inside the premises of Saddar Police Station. The victim claims she had arrived to undergo a medical examination related to her abduction case when the assault occurred.
According to details, the woman was called to the Saddar Police Station for a medical procedure as part of her registered abduction case. She alleges that a private clerk named Junaid, stationed at the police station, locked her inside an Assistant Sub-Inspector’s (ASI) room and sexually assaulted her.
The woman further stated that the accused threatened her, warning that if she told anyone about the incident, her abduction case would be dismissed.
Following the victim’s complaint, the District Police Officer (DPO) ordered an FIR to be registered. The private clerk has since been taken into custody.
According to a police spokesperson, two ASIs have also been suspended for illegally employing a private writer. The case will be investigated on merit, and if the allegations are proven false, action will be taken under the Anti-Rape Act.
Spokesperson Waseem Khan Gopang stated that the case is under investigation, and the CCTV footage from Saddar Police Station is being reviewed to uncover the truth.
