Sikandar Hayat robbed of cash, mobile phone, and bicycle; FIR registered, investigation underway

An alarming armed robbery took place near Butter Mor in District Gujrat, where Sikandar Hayat, a resident of Shadiwal, was held at gunpoint by unidentified assailants.

According to police sources, Sikandar was passing through the area when he was suddenly stopped by armed men. The suspects forcibly took his bicycle, mobile phone, and thousands of rupees in cash, and fled the scene immediately.

The local police station (Thana Kunjah) registered an FIR soon after receiving the report, and have launched an active investigation to trace and arrest the culprits.

Authorities have increased patrolling in the area in response to rising concerns from residents, who have demanded improved security on this frequently targeted stretch of road between Butter and Shadiwal.

Locals have pointed out that this road has witnessed multiple incidents in the past, and commuters often feel unsafe, especially during evening hours. Police have assured the public that arrests will be made soon and safety measures enhanced.
