In a recent appearance on a private morning show, renowned Pakistani actress and model Sunita Marshall sparked conversation by sharing her views on modern-day parenting and children’s friendships.
During the candid chat, Sunita stated that it is completely normal for children to have boyfriends or girlfriends—a comment that’s drawing mixed reactions on social media.
The actress, known for her thoughtful and balanced views, reflected on family dynamics and the communication gap that often exists between husbands and wives. She said, “Men in our society tend to be a bit less expressive and often don’t listen to their wives properly.”
When asked about her own children, Sunita clarified, “My kids are still young, and to my knowledge, they don’t have any boyfriends or girlfriends yet.” However, she revealed that she occasionally whispers to her husband, actor Hassan Ahmed, saying, “It’s actually normal at this age for kids to explore such friendships.”
Sunita emphasized that in households where men are more traditional or emotionally distant, it’s important for wives to approach the topic with care. “Wives should lovingly and gradually help their husbands understand this reality,” she advised. “So if something unexpected comes up about the kids, they aren’t completely shocked.”
