Security forces killed 11 militants in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, security sources said on Saturday.
The operations were conducted in South Waziristan and the Gorindar-Mashkel area of Balochistan as part of ongoing efforts to target militant groups operating in the two provinces.
Five militants killed in South Waziristan operation
Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation against hideouts of Fitna al-Khawarij in South Waziristan, according to security sources.
Five militants were killed during the operation, while their hideouts were destroyed, the sources said.
A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the militants killed during the operation, according to the sources.
The operation was carried out on the basis of intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the area.
Six militants killed in Balochistan
Separately, security forces conducted an operation against Fitna al-Hindustan militants in the Gorindar-Mashkel area of Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
According to security sources, militants opened fire on a security checkpost in the area before attempting to flee.
Security forces responded and killed six militants who were trying to escape, the sources said.
The latest operations come amid continued militant violence in Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Militant attacks rise across Pakistan
Pakistan has reported a significant increase in cross-border militant activity since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in 2021.
The country recorded its highest monthly number of militant attacks in 12 years during September 2026, according to data compiled by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS).
The Islamabad-based think tank recorded 225 militant attacks across Pakistan in September, compared with 199 in August, representing a 13% increase. The data showed that militant attacks rose for the third consecutive month.
Pakistan has repeatedly called on the Afghan Taliban authorities to prevent militant organisations from using Afghan territory to carry out attacks inside the country.
Islamabad maintains that Afghan authorities have not taken effective action against groups allegedly responsible for attacks on Pakistani security forces and civilians. Kabul has disputed Pakistan’s allegations.
Despite several rounds of talks between the two sides, differences over militant groups allegedly operating from Afghan soil remain unresolved and continue to be a major source of tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
