LOS ANGELES: Actor Vin Diesel has given fans an exciting update on the next installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, revealing that he has already read the script for Fast Forever and believes it is the strongest in years.

The 59-year-old shared the news on Instagram while promoting the 25th anniversary re-release of The Fast and the Furious, which returns to cinemas on August 21.

‘Best script in years’

Diesel said the screenplay left him deeply emotional, adding that fans would appreciate revisiting the original 2001 film because of its connection to the upcoming sequel.

According to the actor, the new story delivers an emotional experience and ties back to the franchise’s beginnings.

A franchise that began in 2001

Released in 2001, The Fast and the Furious introduced audiences to iconic characters including Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner, launching one of Hollywood’s most successful action franchises.

The series has since grown into a global blockbuster, spanning multiple sequels and spin-offs.

What to expect from ‘Fast Forever’

The previous film, Fast X, concluded with major cliffhangers and hinted that several familiar faces could return in the next chapter.

Director Louis Leterrier is set to return for the upcoming film, while Michael Lesslie has written the screenplay.

Fast Forever is currently scheduled to arrive in cinemas on March 17, 2028.
