Sophie Khan Levy, known for her role as Priya Nandra-Hart in EastEnders, has revealed that she is pregnant as she prepares to leave the BBC soap permanently.
The 37-year-old actress showed off her baby bump in an emotional video shared by the show after completing filming for her final scenes.
In the video, Sophie thanked the cast, crew and viewers for supporting her during her three years on the long-running soap.
Sophie bids farewell to EastEnders
“I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of the fans and viewers of the show,” Sophie said while addressing the EastEnders team.
She described her time on the programme as a source of pride and said she had been happy to become part of the show’s close-knit family.
“I’ve been so proud and happy to be part of this family for three years,” the actress said, adding that she could not believe she was leaving.
Sophie also hinted that her departure could potentially leave the door open for her character to return to the soap in the future.
“Let’s see… watch this space. Who knows if Priya will make a return?” she said.
The actress joined EastEnders as Priya Nandra-Hart in 2023 and has since become part of several major storylines on the BBC programme.

Pregnancy remains private
Despite revealing her baby bump in the EastEnders farewell video, Sophie has not publicly announced her real-life pregnancy through her personal social media accounts.
She has also chosen not to disclose the identity of her partner publicly.
Her pregnancy revelation comes as she begins a new chapter away from the BBC soap after three years on the programme.
