Karachi – The decomposed body of well-known Pakistani model and actress Humaira Asghar Ali was discovered in a flat located in the upscale DHA Phase 6 area of Karachi. Police say the body had been lying there for several days, and although initial observations suggest natural causes, the final determination will be made following the autopsy report.
According to SSP South Mehzor Ali, Humaira Asghar had been living alone in the flat for the past seven years. She rented the apartment in 2018 but had reportedly stopped paying rent since 2024. The landlord had taken legal action, and a court-appointed bailiff visited the premises today to enforce the court’s order.
When the door was broken down, Humaira’s body was found lying on the floor. The flat has since been sealed, and evidence has been collected. Her remains have been transferred to Jinnah Hospital for legal and medical procedures.
Police surgeon Dr. Samia stated that the body was severely decomposed, indicating that the death occurred several days ago. Necessary samples have been taken for autopsy and forensic analysis.
Neighbors reported that Humaira Asghar kept to herself and had little social interaction within the building. She reportedly did not own a personal vehicle and led a very reserved lifestyle.
This incident marks the second mysterious death of a Pakistani actress living alone in recent months. Just last month, the body of senior actress Ayesha Khan was found in her apartment in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7, days after her death.
Police say they are investigating the case from all possible angles and will decide on further action once the autopsy results are available.
