Humaira Asghar, originally from Lahore, had been living in the apartment since 2018. However, due to non-payment of rent since 2024, the landlord had initiated legal action against her. The police have moved the body to the morgue, and a thorough investigation is underway from multiple angles.

Police recovered two mobile phones from the scene, and forensic data is being extracted. The exact cause of death will only be confirmed once the chemical examination report is released. Meanwhile, the apartment has been sealed in the presence of the court bailiff.

Adding to the sorrow of the incident, the actress’s family has refused to claim her body. According to SSP South Mehzoor Ali, the police contacted Humaira’s father and brother, but her father outright refused to come to Karachi. He stated that they had severed ties with her around one and a half to two years ago.

The SSP also confirmed that no one from the entertainment industry has come forward or contacted the police yet. Neighbors reported that they had not seen Humaira in the building for several days. Despite the family’s indifference, police are committed to fulfilling all legal requirements to bring the case to a proper conclusion.

Humaira Asghar had once appeared in various drama series and modeling projects. However, she had been out of the public eye for the past few years. Her tragic end once again highlights the dark realities that often lie hidden behind the glitter of the showbiz world.
