Significant developments have emerged in the ongoing investigation of the mysterious death of actress and model Humaira Asghar, whose body was found in her apartment in Karachi’s Defence area.
According to police sources, details of her HBL current bank account have been obtained during the investigation. The records reveal that approximately PKR 398,000 were present in her account. It was also discovered that she regularly withdrew money from ATMs, indicating that she was not under any financial pressure.
Authorities further stated that no jewelry or cash was recovered from the scene, and Humaira’s expensive Apple mobile phone is also missing. The absence of these valuables is now a key point of investigation. It remains unclear whether the missing phone belonged to her or someone else.
Officials have confirmed that letters have been sent to relevant institutions to gather details of her other bank accounts, aiming to form a complete financial picture. The investigative team is examining the case from multiple angles and is preparing a detailed report.
Humaira Asghar’s decomposed body was discovered on July 8 in her DHA flat, where she had been residing since 2018. According to the initial post-mortem report, she had been dead for nearly 10 months, with investigators estimating her death occurred around early October 2024.
The case continues to unfold as authorities explore every possible lead surrounding her untimely demise.
