Major Action Taken Over Negligence in Lahore and Gujrat Hospitals

Multiple Officials Transferred After Surprise Health Inspections

Lahore/Gujrat: The Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education has taken strict disciplinary action over alleged negligence and poor administration in major government hospitals in Lahore and Gujrat.

Following surprise inspections by the Chief Minister’s Health Vigilance Squad, several officers and staff members from Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, and Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital, Gujrat, have been transferred from their current posts.

At Jinnah Hospital Lahore, orders were issued to transfer a Senior Medical Officer, a Medical Officer, Junior Technician Muhammad Umar Hayat, and Junior Technician Muhammad Amjad due to administrative shortcomings.

Similarly, in Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital Gujrat, Medical Superintendent Dr. Ayaz Nasir, Deputy Drugs Controller Fareeda Nazar, and Junior Technician Fakhar Abbas were transferred over mismanagement and negligence.

The inspections reviewed public healthcare facilities, patient treatment standards, and overall hospital administration. Based on the findings, swift action was taken to ensure accountability and improve service quality.

The Health Department reaffirmed its commitment to delivering better healthcare services, stating that negligence will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict action will continue against all responsible individuals.
