Free streaming platform Tubi is set to revive childhood memories by adding around 100 classic animated series to its library starting March 1. The move marks what the company calls the beginning of its “cartoon era,” with the first batch arriving in early March and additional titles rolling out gradually over time.

The initiative is designed to reconnect audiences with iconic shows that shaped generations of viewers, particularly those originally produced by Cartoon Network and Warner Bros..

Fan-Favorite Shows Returning

The lineup features several well-loved animated series that remain culturally significant years after their original release. Among them are Dexter’s Laboratory, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, The Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans, and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends.

Warner Bros. classics will also be included, such as Pinky and the Brain, Justice League, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Ben 10, and Animaniacs.

Additional iconic cartoons—including Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, Yogi Bear, and The Flintstones—are also expected to join the platform.

Filling the Gap in Streaming

The announcement comes after many classic animated titles disappeared from major streaming services last year, leaving fans searching for accessible options. Tubi’s strategy appears aimed at filling that gap while strengthening its own position in the competitive streaming market.

By offering these shows for free, the platform is positioning itself as a destination for nostalgia-driven viewing while also introducing younger audiences to animation that helped define earlier eras of television.

A Cross-Generational Moment

Tubi says more series will continue to be added over time, making this a significant development for animation enthusiasts. The return of these classics is expected to appeal to both longtime fans and new viewers, creating a shared viewing experience across generations.

As streaming platforms increasingly compete through exclusive content, Tubi’s focus on timeless animated favorites could prove to be both a strategic business move and a celebration of animation history.
