FIA Cracks Down on Human Traffickers: Three Notorious Agents Arrested

Fraudsters Promised Foreign Jobs, Took Millions from Citizens

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Gujranwala Zone has arrested three notorious suspects during an ongoing crackdown against human traffickers.

The arrested individuals — Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Bilal, and Muhammad Shehbaz — were apprehended from various areas of Gujranwala and Gujrat.

According to the FIA, Muhammad Shehbaz had already been declared a proclaimed offender in multiple human trafficking cases. The other two suspects are also involved in serious allegations of fraud, forgery, and scamming citizens by making false promises of overseas employment.

Investigations revealed that Muhammad Shehbaz swindled over 1.2 million PKR from a citizen by promising a job in Greece. Similarly, Muhammad Irfan collected 1.1 million PKR under the pretense of sending someone to Canada, while Muhammad Bilal extorted 400,000 PKR by claiming he could secure a job in Dubai.

After failing to deliver on their promises, all three suspects went into hiding. FIA officials confirmed that initial interrogations have begun, and further raids are underway to apprehend other absconding human traffickers.

The FIA has urged citizens to avoid falling prey to fraudulent employment offers abroad and to consult only authorized agents and legal channels. Suspicious activities should be immediately reported to the nearest FIA office.
