ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said that Pakistan has decided to present what it describes as evidence of India’s alleged involvement in Balochistan to international forums.
Speaking on Geo News’ programme Naya Pakistan, the senior PML-N leader said the decision had been taken at the highest level and that Pakistan would present its case before the international community.
According to Sanaullah, the situation in Balochistan should not be viewed solely as a political, law-and-order, or terrorism issue. Instead, he described it as a broader security challenge, alleging that India was using Afghan territory to conduct a “proxy war” against Pakistan.
Operation Shaban continues
His remarks came as security forces continued Operation Shaban in Balochistan.
According to security sources, 17 more militants were killed during operations on Friday. Officials later said that a total of 91 militants had been killed in Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations conducted since July 5.
The operation was launched after the deadly attack on the Mangi Dam police checkpoint in Ziarat and is being carried out jointly by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and Balochistan Police.
ISPR details Mangi Dam attack
Earlier this week, ISPR Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said militants attacked the Mangi Dam checkpoint, where police personnel put up strong resistance and killed 15 attackers during the initial exchange of fire.
He said nine police officers were martyred in the first phase of the attack, while several others were taken hostage before security forces reached the area.
According to the military spokesperson, security forces carefully tightened the cordon because hostages were being held by the attackers. He added that as the siege intensified, the militants killed 18 more police personnel.
The ISPR said a total of 27 police officers embraced martyrdom, while 26 militants were killed during the operation.

Separate operation in Khuzdar
Security sources also said that an attack on a police station in Khuzdar was successfully repelled.
Subsequently, Pakistan Army and FC troops launched a follow-up operation in the area, during which eight militants were reportedly killed. Officials also said additional militants were killed in separate helicopter-assisted operations.
Prime Minister reiterates resolve
Addressing a meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee on the National Action Plan in Quetta, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism.
He said the entire nation stood behind the armed forces and vowed that operations would continue until terrorism was eradicated. The prime minister also alleged that Pakistan’s “eastern neighbour” was behind terrorist attacks and claimed Afghan territory was being used to launch attacks inside Pakistan.
Pakistan has witnessed a rise in militant attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in recent years.
Pakistani officials have repeatedly accused India of supporting militant groups operating in Pakistan and have alleged that Afghan territory is being used by such groups. India has consistently denied these allegations, while the Afghan interim authorities have also rejected claims that their territory is being used to launch attacks against Pakistan.
The Pakistani government says it intends to pursue both security operations and diplomatic efforts, including presenting its position and supporting evidence before international forums.
