Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has been reprimanded and fined 20% of his match fee for a breach of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Code of Conduct during Sunday’s one-day international against England in Lahore.

The ICC announced the disciplinary action on Wednesday, confirming that Haris had breached Article 2.2 of the Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which covers conduct contrary to the spirit of the game.

England were also penalised after failing to complete their allotted overs within the required time during the match.

Haris Rauf Penalised for On-Field Exchange

The incident involving Haris occurred at the end of the 46th over of Pakistan’s innings.

Standing at the non-striker’s end, the Pakistan pacer appealed for a wide before becoming involved in an argument with England all-rounder Will Jacks.

Haris raised his bat and continued the exchange despite a warning from umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid. He subsequently brushed past the umpire while walking towards Jacks.

The ICC found the incident to be a breach of its conduct regulations and imposed a fine equivalent to 20% of Haris’s match fee.

The 32-year-old also received one demerit point, taking his total to five following his third offence within a 24-month period.

England Fined for Slow Over-Rate

England were fined 15% of their players’ match fees after being found three overs short of the required rate once time allowances had been taken into account.

Under Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct, players are fined 5% of their match fee for every over their team fails to bowl within the allotted time.

England captain Harry Brook accepted the charge and the proposed sanction.

Both Haris and Brook admitted their respective offences and accepted the penalties imposed by match referee Jeff Crowe of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees. As a result, no formal hearings were required.

The charges were brought by on-field umpires Rashid Riaz and Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid, third umpire Wayne Knights and fourth umpire Nassir Hussain.

Shadab Khan Leads Pakistan to Dramatic Victory

The disciplinary action followed a thrilling contest in which Pakistan defeated England by one wicket.

Shadab Khan played a decisive role in the victory, scoring an unbeaten century and guiding Pakistan towards their target under pressure.

He shared an unbroken 89-run partnership with Haris Rauf for the 10th wicket, rescuing Pakistan from a difficult position and securing victory with 17 balls remaining.

The result highlighted Pakistan’s resilience in a tense finish, with the lower order delivering when the team needed it most.

Pakistan Qualify for ODI Tri-Series Final

The victory secured Pakistan’s place in the final of the ODI tri-series, where they are scheduled to face Sri Lanka on October 31.

With the final approaching, Pakistan will look to build on their dramatic win, while the disciplinary decisions following the England match have added another talking point to an already eventful contest.
