Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly faced another setback in their communication with Buckingham Palace, with a royal commentator claiming that some messages from the couple’s team have gone unanswered.
Journalist Charlotte Griffiths discussed the reported situation during an appearance on Peter Cardwell’s TalkTV programme, where she also suggested that Meghan may be keeping detailed records of her communications with members of the royal household.
Palace reportedly receives more messages than it answers
Griffiths said the alleged practice of keeping records of communications reminded her of reports from the period when Harry and Meghan were working members of the British royal family and living in the UK.
She claimed that there had previously been speculation that Meghan kept detailed records of interactions with royal officials, which some courtiers were reportedly concerned could later be used against them.
According to Griffiths, the current communication between the Sussexes and the Palace is limited, consisting mainly of occasional emails, phone calls and letters.
She claimed that people she had spoken to within the Palace were “incredibly guarded” and said they receive more communications from Harry and Meghan than they respond to.
Griffiths further alleged that some messages and emails from the Sussexes’ team were simply ignored.

Trust remains a key issue
The royal commentator suggested that the limited communication reflects the strained relationship between the Sussexes and the royal household.
She said trust between the two sides had deteriorated, adding that it would therefore make sense for Meghan to maintain a record of requests and correspondence with the Palace.
The claims come amid continued public interest in the relationship between Harry and Meghan and the wider royal family.
Harry and Meghan stepped back as senior working royals in 2020 and later moved to the United States. Since then, the couple have spoken publicly about their experiences within the royal family, while their relationship with senior royals has remained a subject of intense media attention.
The latest claims about Palace communication were made by Griffiths and have not been independently confirmed by Buckingham Palace or the Sussexes.
