Imran Khan’s Children Free to Join Political Movement Within Legal Bounds: Irfan Siddiqui

PML-N Senator Says Khan’s Release Depends Solely on Legal Matters, Not Family Influence

Islamabad – Senior PML-N leader and Senator Irfan Siddiqui stated that Imran Khan’s children are welcome to engage in political movements, as long as they operate within the legal framework. He made these remarks during an appearance on Geo News’ morning program Geo Pakistan.

Siddiqui clarified that while Imran Khan may wish to see his sons and sisters become politically active, their participation will not influence his release, which is entirely dependent on his ongoing legal cases. He emphasized that no family member or external factor can serve as a political savior for the incarcerated PTI founder.

Regarding recent rumors about a possible change in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Siddiqui categorically denied any such developments. He assured that no change of government is under consideration, and that the PPP and PML-N remain coalition allies. He praised President Asif Ali Zardari as a wise and responsible statesman, saying the PPP has never obstructed governmental stability.

On the issue of rising sugar prices, Irfan Siddiqui said the government has taken notice and decided to import sugar from abroad to stabilize the market. He added that the government is seriously committed to providing relief to the public, and results will soon be visible.

It is worth noting that speculation recently surfaced about Imran Khan’s sons, Qasim and Sulaiman, possibly arriving in Pakistan and taking part in a political campaign. Siddiqui’s statement comes in response to those reports, offering a clear legal perspective on the matter.
