Deputy Commissioner Inspects School Facilities
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jhelum, Mir Raza Ozgen, visited the Government Girls High School Jada to review the educational and basic facilities provided to students. The visit aimed to assess the condition of the school’s infrastructure and the quality of education being delivered.
During his inspection, the Deputy Commissioner visited several classrooms and interacted directly with students. He inquired about their studies, classroom activities, and the overall learning environment. The students shared their experiences and highlighted both the positive aspects and the challenges they face in pursuing their education.
Focus on Infrastructure and Cleanliness
Mir Raza Ozgen carefully examined the school’s physical infrastructure, including the condition of classrooms, the availability of furniture, and the level of cleanliness maintained on campus. He also inspected the provision of clean drinking water and other basic amenities essential for a safe and healthy learning environment.
According to education department data, many government schools in Punjab face issues such as limited resources, inadequate sanitation, and insufficient maintenance. The Deputy Commissioner’s visit was part of a broader district initiative to identify such shortcomings and ensure prompt action.
Directives for Immediate Improvements
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned officials to complete all pending facility upgrades at the earliest. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high educational standards and ensuring that teachers and administrators receive full support to enhance learning outcomes.
He stated that the government’s top priority is to provide quality education and improved facilities in public institutions. Every girl deserves the opportunity to learn in a supportive and well-equipped environment where she can fully develop her potential, he said.
Commitment to Girls’ Education
The Jhelum district administration has been working to strengthen girls’ education by improving school infrastructure and teacher training programs. Efforts are also underway to encourage community participation in school management and maintenance.
Such visits by district officials are part of ongoing monitoring efforts to bridge gaps between policy and implementation. By addressing on-ground challenges, authorities hope to create an environment where every girl can learn, grow, and contribute to the nation’s progress.
