Bollywood model and actress Shefali Jariwala, who rose to fame with the hit remix “Kaanta Laga,” has tragically passed away at the age of 42. Her sudden death has been deemed suspicious by Mumbai Police.
According to Indian media reports, Shefali suffered a sudden cardiac arrest last night. Her husband, Parag Tyagi, rushed her to Bellevue Multi-Specialty Hospital in Andheri, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.
Mumbai Police have sent her body for post-mortem examination and have also launched a full investigation. A forensic team has searched her residence, and both her cook and domestic help are being questioned to determine the exact cause of death.
Initial medical reports suggest cardiac arrest, but multiple sources claim that the Mumbai Police are treating the case as suspicious and are actively investigating all possibilities.
Shefali gained widespread fame with her appearance in the early 2000s remix hit “Kaanta Laga” and later had a brief role in Salman Khan’s film “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.” She also appeared in popular Indian reality shows including Bigg Boss 13 and Nach Baliye.
