Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed that Imran Khan’s sons, Kasim and Sulaiman, are allowed to visit Pakistan using their National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), as they are considered Pakistani citizens and do not require a visa.
The statement comes in response to an appeal by Imran Khan’s former spouse, Jemima Goldsmith, who had requested that her children be allowed to see their father, the jailed former prime minister, amid concerns over his health.
Arrangements for Communication
Tarar also confirmed that Imran Khan’s phone call with his children will be arranged on Eid, following the same practice as in previous years.
“His children are welcome to visit Pakistan on their NICOP cards as Pakistani citizens for which no visa is required. However, they will fully comply with the laws of Pakistan during their stay,” the minister said.
Imran Khan’s phone call will be arranged on Eid Day with his children as done in the past as well.

Background
Jemima Goldsmith had stated on X that her sons applied for visas in January to see their father, but the process had faced a 60-day delay, despite earlier assurances from Defence Minister Khawaja Asif that travel would be allowed safely after four years.
Imran Khan’s lawyer had raised concerns about the former premier’s health, reporting significant vision loss in his right eye while in custody. A medical board later confirmed improvement after treatment.

This announcement clarifies that visa delays will not hinder Kasim and Sulaiman’s visit, allowing them to meet their father during Eid.
