Lady Gaga introduced her new film MAYHEM Requiem during a one-night-only event in Los Angeles, turning the premiere into a visually dramatic and emotionally charged spectacle.
The special screening took place at The Grove, where Gaga arrived alongside her dancers and a full marching band. The performance immediately set a somber and ceremonial atmosphere, featuring haunting renditions of songs from her Mayhem album, including “Abracadabra” and “Disease.”

The black carpet at the event was decorated with rose petals, reinforcing the film’s funeral-inspired artistic theme. Gaga herself wore a vintage red-and-black gown designed by late fashion icon Alexander McQueen, paying tribute to the influential designer and her longtime creative inspiration.
Her dancers, dressed entirely in white, completed the carefully staged visual contrast, giving the entire evening the appearance of a symbolic ritual or theatrical ceremony.

The concept behind MAYHEM Requiem
The film was reportedly shot earlier this year at the The Wiltern in Los Angeles and presents a reimagined version of Gaga’s Mayhem album within a post-apocalyptic setting.
In the project, Gaga performs the album’s songs among ruins and destruction, as though the music had been rediscovered centuries in the future. The concept blends performance art, music, and cinematic storytelling into a single visual experience.
According to Gaga, the creative idea was developed alongside her fiancé Michael Polansky. She explained that the project explored the idea of dismantling the album creatively and rebuilding it into something entirely new.

Behind the elaborate visuals, Gaga said the film carries a deeply personal message. She described the story as imagining a future fan — a “Little Monster,” as her supporters are known — discovering the remains of the Mayhem Ball stage and transforming the ruins into art.
The singer explained that the idea reflects how people can rebuild themselves after difficult experiences and create meaning from broken moments in life.
“To me, this idea that we can take the broken pieces of our lives and put them back together is a lot of why I made this album,” Gaga told attendees during the premiere.
