Pakistani actress Sabeena Farooq has responded to speculation about her appearance, denying rumours that she has undergone lip filler treatment and revealing that her fear of needles and injections has kept her from considering the procedure.
The actress addressed the speculation through her Instagram Story after receiving messages from people suggesting that she had opted for the cosmetic enhancement.
While dismissing the claims, Farooq emphasised that she did not consider cosmetic procedures a bad thing and believed people should have the freedom to make their own decisions about their appearance.

In her response, Farooq said she had received numerous messages claiming that she had undergone lip filler treatment.
“I’ve been getting a lot of messages from people saying I got lip fillers, which first isn’t a bad thing, but I didn’t because I’m scared of needles and injections,” she said.
The actress added that she might have considered the procedure if she were not afraid of injections, regardless of the extent of the treatment.
She also questioned why people should scrutinise the personal choices others make about their appearance.
Her remarks made it clear that although she denied undergoing the procedure herself, she had no objection to people who choose cosmetic enhancements.

Actress Speaks Out Against Judging Appearances
Farooq’s response has drawn attention to the scrutiny celebrities often face over their looks.
Public figures frequently encounter online speculation about cosmetic treatments, with changes in appearance sometimes prompting assumptions about surgical or non-surgical procedures.
By addressing the rumours directly, Farooq sought to clarify her own position while emphasising that cosmetic enhancements should remain a matter of personal choice.
Her comments also highlighted the pressure on actors to respond to public discussion about their appearance, even when the speculation concerns decisions that are ultimately private.

Sabeena Farooq’s Journey in Pakistani Television
Farooq has become a familiar face in Pakistani television since beginning her acting career in 2016. A graduate in Media Studies, she has appeared in several popular drama serials and earned recognition for her performances in a range of roles.
She gained widespread attention for playing Haya in the hit drama Tere Bin. Although the character attracted considerable criticism from viewers, Farooq also faced online harassment and threats because of her on-screen role.
In 2023, she spoke out against the backlash, reminding viewers that an actor should not be subjected to hostility over a fictional character.
Her performance in Kabuli Pulao, in which she portrayed Barbeena, further strengthened her reputation. She also appeared as Aliya in Mann Jogi, adding another notable role to her television career.
Farooq’s work in Kabuli Pulao earned her the Lux Style Award 2025 for Best TV Actress in the Critics’ Choice category.
In August 2026, she was also announced among the honourees of the CLC Global 100 Women Leaders Award 2026.
Actor Continues to Address Online Criticism
Beyond her acting work, Farooq has used social media to speak about online behaviour, public criticism and the pressures faced by celebrities.
Her latest response to the lip filler rumours follows that pattern. Rather than simply rejecting speculation about herself, she also encouraged people to respect individual choices and avoid judging others over their appearance.
Her message was straightforward: she has not had lip fillers, but she believes the decision to undergo cosmetic treatment should be a personal one rather than a reason for public criticism.
