Actor Tom Holland has shared a touching behind-the-scenes moment from the set of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey, revealing that he stayed on set to watch Zendaya perform one of her most significant scenes.
Speaking during a recent interview with CTV’s E Talk, Holland said he was not required to film at the time but chose to remain on set so he could support Zendaya during an important sequence.
According to the actor, watching her performance was one of the highlights of the production.

During the interview, actress Anne Hathaway mentioned that Holland and Zendaya shared scenes together in the film.
Holland then revealed there was another memorable moment that audiences would never see on screen.
He said both actors were present while Zendaya filmed a major scene portraying Athena during the Siege of Troy.
Rather than returning to his trailer between takes, Holland said he stayed nearby wearing casual clothes and quietly observed the performance from a corner of the set.
Recalling the experience, he said he wanted to be available in case Zendaya needed anything and described the moment as a special experience for both of them.
Working With Christopher Nolan
Holland also spoke about the experience of collaborating with acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan, admitting that joining one of the director’s productions for the first time felt both exciting and intimidating.
He explained that he and Zendaya often relied on fellow cast members who had previously worked with Nolan, seeking reassurance and guidance as they adjusted to the director’s filmmaking style.

According to Holland, the experience proved highly rewarding, and he said Zendaya felt the same way.
Nolan Personally Discussed Zendaya’s Casting
The actor also recalled that Christopher Nolan personally asked him whether he would be comfortable with Zendaya joining the cast of The Odyssey.
Holland said he immediately welcomed the idea and told the director he would be honoured to have her involved in the project.
He added that he believed Zendaya would also be delighted by the opportunity.
Highly Anticipated Release
The Odyssey is one of the year’s most eagerly awaited films and features an ensemble cast under the direction of Academy Award-winning filmmaker Christopher Nolan.
Zendaya portrays the Greek goddess Athena, while Tom Holland also plays a leading role in the epic adaptation.
The film is scheduled for release in cinemas on July 17.
