President Asif Ali Zardari has returned to Pakistan after completing a private visit to Britain, the Presidency said on Thursday.
The President’s Secretariat confirmed in a post on X that Zardari had returned to Pakistan after concluding his private overseas visit.
Zardari departed for Britain on August 27, marking his first visit to the country in around six years. He spent more than a week in London before returning to Pakistan.
Zardari says he is in good health
Before leaving for the airport, Zardari told Geo News that he was in good health.
Asked about his health, the president replied, “By the grace of Allah, I am well.”
He also described his stay in London as pleasant, saying he had a “good time” during his visit.
According to sources, Zardari underwent several medical check-ups during his stay in Britain. He was accompanied on his return journey by his personal physician, Dr Asim Hussain.
The president did not take part in political activities or hold formal political meetings during his stay, according to sources.

President avoids political questions
During his interaction with journalists before departure, Zardari declined to comment on Pakistan’s current political situation.
He also avoided questions about the ongoing debate surrounding proposals for the creation of new provinces and administrative units in the country.
The president’s decision to keep the private visit away from political engagements meant that no formal political meetings were held during his time in London.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Tipu Usman, was present to see Zardari off before his departure for the airport.
Bilawal, Bakhtawar visit their father
Zardari’s family also visited him during his stay in London.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari met their father during the visit. According to sources, the president met with Bilawal and Bakhtawar regularly while he was in London.
The president has now returned to Pakistan following the private trip, with the Presidency confirming the conclusion of his overseas stay.
