Jim Carrey has married his longtime girlfriend Min Ah, marking a new chapter in the actor and comedian’s personal life.
The Bruce Almighty star, 64, tied the knot with Min Ah, with his spokesperson confirming the marriage to People magazine on September 30.
The couple have maintained a relatively private relationship, rarely appearing together publicly before making a notable appearance earlier this year.
Couple made rare public appearance
Carrey and Min Ah appeared together at France’s César Awards seven months before their wedding, where the actor offered a glimpse into their relationship during his acceptance speech.
Speaking entirely in French, Carrey thanked his daughter Jane, grandson Jackson and his “sublime companion, Min Ah.”
“I love you, Min Ah,” he said during the speech, while also paying tribute to his late father, Percy Joseph Carrey, whom he credited with teaching him about love, generosity and laughter.
The public appearance marked one of the clearest acknowledgements of their relationship from the actor.

Relationship remained largely private
Carrey and Min Ah have reportedly been together for several years. The pair were photographed leaving a charity comedy show hosted by Judd Apatow at Largo in Los Angeles in February 2022.
Despite his long career in Hollywood, Carrey has increasingly kept his personal life away from the spotlight.
While promoting Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in 2022, the actor spoke about his desire for a quieter lifestyle and suggested that he was considering stepping back from acting.
“I really like my quiet life, and I really love putting paint on canvas, and I really love my spiritual life,” Carrey said at the time.
He also said he felt he had enough, reflecting his desire to focus on a more private life beyond Hollywood.

The marriage to Min Ah is Carrey’s third.
The actor was previously married to Lauren Holly from 1996 to 1997. He was also married to Melissa Womer, the mother of his daughter Jane, from 1987 to 1995.
