Market Extends Winning Streak
Thursday’s advance marked the fourth consecutive session of gains for the benchmark index.
On Wednesday, the KSE-100 closed at 165,736.76 points after gaining 1,269.55 points, equivalent to 0.77%. The previous session’s performance was supported by stronger-than-expected corporate earnings and improving investor sentiment.
The latest gains suggest that buying interest has continued as investors assess the market’s recovery and the prospects for listed companies.
Fertiliser, Banking and Power Stocks in Focus
Market activity remained concentrated in selected stocks, with fertiliser, banking, power and related sectors continuing to attract investor attention.
These sectors had contributed to the market’s recent upward momentum, helping the benchmark maintain its positive direction over several sessions.
However, trading participation remained moderate compared with Wednesday’s stronger turnover as investors evaluated whether the recovery could be sustained near the 167,000-point level.

Investors Watch for Further Gains
Analysts noted that the midday advance was consistent with the broader recovery seen over the previous sessions, although profit-taking could emerge if share prices rose further.
The index’s ability to remain above its previous close kept market sentiment positive into the afternoon.
Investors are likely to monitor trading volumes, corporate performance and broader economic developments to assess whether the KSE-100 can extend its gains.
The index’s performance during the remainder of Thursday’s session will help determine whether the market can sustain its upward momentum near the 167,000-point mark.
