New details have emerged about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s recent wedding, with one guest revealing that Adam Sandler secretly officiated the ceremony.
According to Jonathan Thomas, CEO of American Century Investments and a friend of the Kansas City Chiefs star, the couple kept Sandler’s role a closely guarded secret until the ceremony began.
Speaking on the Compound and Friends podcast, Thomas said guests were initially convinced it was part of a joke when the actor appeared.
Guests Left Surprised
Thomas recalled that the crowd burst into laughter as Sandler walked in, believing his appearance was simply for entertainment.
“He came down, everybody laughed and thought it was a joke at first,” Thomas said.
However, it soon became clear that the Happy Gilmore star would officially lead the wedding ceremony.

According to Thomas, Sandler delivered an address lasting 20 to 30 minutes, balancing humour with heartfelt advice for the newlyweds.
He said the actor mixed light-hearted jokes with sincere reflections on marriage and even sang during parts of the ceremony.
One of Sandler’s biggest laughs came when he adapted the traditional wedding vows.
Instead of saying, “For richer or for poorer,” he joked, “You’re not going to have to worry about that,” referring to the couple’s enormous wealth.

Thomas said Sandler also shared simple but meaningful advice with the couple.
He encouraged Swift and Kelce to “kiss each other every day, in the morning, at night after dinner, just kiss often,” a message that guests warmly received.

According to Thomas, both Swift and Kelce spoke openly about their relationship, leaving many guests in tears.
He said even several of the football players in attendance became emotional during the ceremony, adding that there was “hardly a dry eye” in the room by the time the vows had ended.
