Chris Evans has revealed the four Marvel superheroes he would choose if he could create his own dream Avengers team, and his final pick came with a heartfelt shoutout to Bucky Barnes.
During a live panel at Fan Expo Boston on Sunday, August 9, a fan asked the Captain America: The First Avenger star which four MCU heroes he would select to form the ultimate Avengers squad.
Evans quickly named Scarlet Witch, praising Wanda Maximoff’s extraordinary powers.
“You’d be a fool to not start with Scarlet Witch just based on power,” Evans said.
Thor makes Evans’ dream Avengers team
The actor’s second choice was Thor, with Evans joking that the Asgardian superhero would help ensure the team came out on top.
Thor’s combination of strength, combat experience and supernatural abilities made him an obvious choice for Evans’ hypothetical lineup.
Iron Man picked for a funny reason
Evans then selected Iron Man, but his explanation had little to do with Tony Stark’s technological genius or combat abilities.

“And then probably Iron Man, just because after you win, he knows all the good vacation spots!” Evans joked.
The comment drew laughter from the audience and offered a lighter take on his choice of one of the MCU’s most iconic heroes.

Bucky gets the final spot
For his fourth and final selection, Evans chose Bucky Barnes, also known as the Winter Soldier.
“Well, then let’s get Bucky in there, because I need my guy!” the 45-year-old actor said.
The choice was especially fitting given the long friendship between Steve Rogers and Bucky in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
