Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have officially tied the knot, confirming their marriage in a joint social media announcement on Tuesday, August 11.
The couple shared a photograph of their hands resting together, showing their new wedding bands alongside Georgina’s engagement ring.
According to a press release, Ronaldo and Rodríguez exchanged vows in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, attended by their five children.
Georgina announced the marriage with a heartfelt caption in Spanish:
“Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas.”
The phrase translates to: “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”
Wedding comes one year after engagement
The wedding date holds special significance for the couple as it falls exactly one year after Georgina announced their engagement on August 11, 2025.
The marriage also ends recent speculation surrounding the couple’s wedding plans. Over the weekend, crowds reportedly gathered in Madeira, Ronaldo’s birthplace, believing the ceremony would take place there. The gathering, however, turned out to be connected to another couple.

Ronaldo and Georgina’s relationship
Ronaldo, 41, and Rodríguez, 32, first met in 2016 and have been together ever since.
The couple share a blended family of five children: Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jr., twins Eva Maria and Mateo, and daughters Alana and Bella.
The family also experienced a devastating loss in 2022 when Bella’s twin brother died shortly after their birth.

In a December 2025 interview with Elle Spain, Rodríguez revealed that Ronaldo’s proposal came as a complete surprise.
She recalled being shocked by the engagement ring and said it took her some time to process the moment.
Rodríguez, who rose to global prominence through her Netflix documentary series I Am Georgina, has also previously spoken about the strength of her relationship with Ronaldo.
The couple’s marriage marks a new chapter in their decade-long relationship, which has remained one of the most closely followed celebrity romances in the world.
