Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has shared his excitement ahead of performing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show, describing the event as one of the biggest moments of his career.
Speaking during Fanatics Fest at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City on Saturday, Bieber said he was honoured to perform on what he called “the biggest stage in the world.”
“I’m excited. It’s the biggest stage in the world. And to be a part of something massive,” the Grammy Award-winning singer said during the event.
Despite background noise briefly interrupting his remarks, Bieber added that the performance would be “a moment to bring everyone together” and described it as “very special.”
Star-studded halftime show
Bieber is set to co-headline the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show, scheduled to take place during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final at New York New Jersey Stadium.
The historic performance will feature a lineup of internationally renowned artists, including:
- Madonna
- Shakira
- BTS
- Burna Boy
The show will also include acclaimed conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the PS22 Chorus, joined by members of Coldplay.

Music meets football and philanthropy
The halftime show has been curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and is being produced in partnership with Global Citizen.
According to organisers, the event aims to combine football, music and philanthropy while supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative focused on expanding access to education around the world.
As the first halftime show in FIFA World Cup final history, the performance is expected to attract one of the largest global television audiences for a live musical event.
With fans eagerly awaiting both the football final and the entertainment spectacle, Bieber said he is looking forward to being part of what promises to be a memorable occasion.
