A National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) employee has reportedly gone missing after leaving his office in Karachi, according to his family.
Fayyaz Ahmed, who is also the son of senior journalist Sohail Sangi, has been out of contact since Monday evening. His family said he left his office at around 6:00pm, but has not returned home or communicated with relatives since then.
The family added that his mobile phone has remained switched off, increasing concerns about his whereabouts.
Family Contacts Police Authorities
According to family members, they have informed senior law enforcement officials about the incident.
They said the matter has been reported to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, as well as the relevant Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).
A written complaint has also been submitted to the concerned authorities requesting immediate action to trace Fayyaz Ahmed and ensure his safe recovery.
HRCP Expresses Concern
The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has expressed serious concern over Fayyaz Ahmed’s reported disappearance.
In a statement, the commission said Fayyaz, a Nadra officer and the son of HRCP Council member Sohail Sangi, had been missing since Monday.
The rights body urged the Sindh government and law enforcement agencies to expedite their efforts to locate him and ensure his safe return.

As of now, no official details have been released regarding Fayyaz Ahmed’s whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
