Princess Anne made a stylish appearance at the British Museum on Wednesday after completing an engagement in North Yorkshire focused on supporting unpaid carers.
The Princess Royal arrived at the British Museum alongside her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, for the Samsung Korean Treasures Gala.
Anne was pictured wearing an eye-catching orange coat as she attended the evening event in London.
Anne celebrates carers in Yorkshire
Earlier in the day, the Princess Royal visited North Yorkshire for an afternoon tea celebrating Carers Plus Yorkshire and its work supporting people who provide unpaid care to family members and loved ones.
The charity is marking its 30th anniversary. Anne has maintained a long association with the organisation and founded The Princess Royal Trust for Carers in 1991.
During the visit, Anne spoke with Elizabeth McPherson and heard about the charity’s latest developments and its work over three decades to support unpaid carers across local communities.
The Princess Royal later entered the main hall, where she met adult carers, Armed Forces carers, volunteers, staff and trustees connected with the organisation.
She heard personal accounts about the support provided by the charity and the impact its services have had on carers and their families.
Princess Anne jokes during cake cutting
Anne was also invited to cut a special celebration cake during the event.
The Princess Royal responded with a light-hearted remark, joking that she would only cut the cake if those attending were actually going to eat it.
The moment added a playful touch to the otherwise formal celebration.
King Charles and Princess Diana’s legacy revisited amid fresh claims
Reflecting on Anne’s visit, Elizabeth McPherson described it as a “real honour” to welcome the Princess Royal.
She said Anne had been “incredibly warm and engaging” throughout the visit and had shown genuine interest in the organisation’s work and the people it supports.
From Yorkshire engagement to London gala
After completing her engagement in North Yorkshire, Anne travelled to London for the British Museum gala.
Her appearance at the Samsung Korean Treasures Gala marked a busy day of public engagements for the Princess Royal, who has continued to maintain a packed schedule of charitable, cultural and official commitments.
The two engagements also highlighted Anne’s longstanding involvement in both community-focused organisations and cultural events.
