Robert Pattinson has addressed the production pause affecting The Batman Part II, offering a brief update on the highly anticipated DC sequel during a recent appearance in London.
The 40-year-old actor spoke to Official Pop Drop at the premiere of his new film, Primetime, on October 12. His comments followed reports that filming on the Batman sequel had been temporarily halted while director Matt Reeves attends to a personal matter.
“Yeah, we’re pausing for a little bit, and then we’re going to figure it all out,” Pattinson said.
Neither Warner Bros nor DC Studios has publicly disclosed further details about Reeves’ circumstances.
Robert Pattinson Confirms Temporary Production Halt
Pattinson’s remarks confirm that the production is on hold for now, although no revised filming schedule has been announced.
The actor did not provide a specific timeline for the pause or explain when work might resume. His comments suggest that the team will reassess the situation before deciding on its next steps.
The temporary halt has raised questions about the project’s production timetable, particularly given the delays that have already affected the sequel.
However, further details about the filming schedule remain unconfirmed.
Pattinson Calls the Sequel’s Script Extraordinary
Despite the uncertainty surrounding production, Pattinson previously expressed strong confidence in the screenplay for The Batman Part II.
Earlier this year, the actor described the script as a significant departure from its predecessor and suggested that the upcoming film would offer a distinct cinematic experience.
“The script is extraordinary,” he said. “I think it’s going to be a really, really special movie and very, very different.”

His comments have added to anticipation among fans eager to see how Reeves will continue his version of Gotham City and its iconic crime-fighting hero.
The sequel follows the 2022 film The Batman, which featured Pattinson as Bruce Wayne and presented a darker, detective-focused interpretation of the character.
Star-Studded Cast Expected to Return
The Batman Part II is expected to feature Pattinson once again as Bruce Wayne and Batman, alongside Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, better known as the Penguin.
Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan are also among the reported cast members.
The sequel is currently scheduled to arrive in cinemas on February 18, 2028, following several delays.
With the production pause now acknowledged by its leading star, attention is likely to remain focused on when filming will resume and whether the interruption will affect the planned release.
For now, Pattinson has indicated that the team intends to reassess the situation, while the studio has yet to announce further details about the production schedule.
