Mumbai: The truth behind recent rumors about Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan being injured on the set of his upcoming film has now been revealed.
Over the past few days, several social and mainstream media reports claimed that Shah Rukh Khan suffered a back injury while shooting for director Siddharth Anand’s film ‘King’, and was heading to the US for treatment. A detailed version of this initial report can be found here, which contributed to widespread concern among fans.
However, according to a report by NDTV, citing close sources to the actor, these claims are unfounded. The source clarified that although Shah Rukh Khan has previously sustained injuries during shoots — which sometimes still affect him — no new accident or injury has occurred during the current production.
The insider further explained that Shah Rukh routinely travels to the US for medical check-ups and physiotherapy, and this trip is part of his regular health care schedule. He reportedly left for the US in the second week of July, with his return expected by the end of the month.
It’s worth noting that in 2023, during the filming of ‘Jawan’, Shah Rukh Khan did suffer a minor facial injury which required a small surgical procedure in the US — though he recovered quickly and resumed work soon after.
This recent clarification brings relief to fans who were worried after hearing about the actor’s supposed condition.
