JOHANNESBURG: South African international footballer Jayden Adams has died at the age of 25, just weeks after making his FIFA World Cup debut for Bafana Bafana, according to people close to the player.
Adams, who played for Mamelodi Sundowns, featured in all three of South Africa’s group-stage matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He was an unused substitute during his side’s Round of 32 defeat to Canada, which ended the team’s tournament campaign.
